The transformation of Coral Sands Harbour Island marks one of the most significant upgrades among recent Harbour Island renovations, bringing a fresh sense of vibrancy to this classic beachfront retreat.

After being acquired by AJ Capital Partners in early 2024, Coral Sands Harbour Island underwent a major multi-phase restoration focused on elevating comfort and design while preserving its original charm. The resort officially reopened in December 2024, unveiling updated rooms, bungalows, oceanfront cottages, and private villas with some featuring full kitchens and plunge pools.

Interiors now blend vintage Bahamian elegance with a playful, sun-drenched aesthetic. Guests will notice shell-encrusted chandeliers, coral and teal palettes, grasscloth walls, custom murals, and curated vintage photographs. These elements create an atmosphere that feels both nostalgic and refreshed.

Despite the December reopening, additional Harbour Island renovations are ongoing. From mid-July through mid-August 2025, areas such as The Inn, Briland House, and the Pink Mermaid restaurant will temporarily close for final improvements. During this time, the beach bar, fitness court, and most cottages will remain fully operational, allowing guests to enjoy the resort with minimal disruption.
